Such adjika will require a small set of products available in August-September.
To prepare the product at home you will need:
2.5 kg of tomatoes;
1 kg carrots;
1 kg of sweet pepper;
1 kg apples;
100 grams of hot pepper (optional);
200 grams of peeled garlic;
200 ml vegetable oil;
200 ml vinegar (9%);
70 g salt;
1 cup granulated sugar.
How to make adjika with apples for the winter
First you need to prepare the vegetables:
— carrots must be washed, peeled and grated on a coarse grater;
- tomatoes also need to be washed and pureed, after removing the stems;
- sweet pepper - rinse, remove the core, grind the pulp into a puree;
- Wash the apples, cut them into 4 parts, cut out the core, and chop using a blender.
Combine the tomato and pepper puree in a saucepan of at least 6 quarts. Add chopped carrots and apples, chopped hot pepper if desired. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 1 hour.
Then, add vegetable oil, salt, sugar, vinegar and chopped garlic.
Stir until smooth, spread over sterile hot jars.
From the specified amount of products you get 5.5-6 liters of delicious homemade adjika. Adjika does not require additional sterilization.
Seal with clean lids and keep upside down, covered with a terry towel, until the jars have cooled.
Ready adjika with apples can be stored in an apartment. In winter, open a jar of this seasoning and serve it as a sauce for boiled rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
