Before you start cooking, the first thing you should do is pick or buy raspberries, sort them out of debris and remove the dry parts of the berries.

We won’t wash anything, otherwise most of the berries will simply fall apart and take in water.

Pour the berries into the container in which we will later cook the jam. Since raspberries are a rather sweet berry, we take sugar in a 1:1 ratio. I have 700 grams of berries, respectively, 700 grams of sugar. Sprinkle the berries with sugar and mix gently.

We can say that the first stage of preparing raspberry jam is completed, since the saucepan with berries will have to be left alone for a while. This time is necessary for the berry to give juice and for the granulated sugar to dissolve a little. At room temperature this will take about 3-6 hours. You can leave the berries in the refrigerator overnight and continue harvesting the next day.

So, the raspberries have stood, released their juice, the sugar has almost dissolved, which means it’s time to make the jam.

Place the pan on the stove and turn on medium heat. To ensure even heating, stir the berries constantly. As soon as the boiling process begins, count down the time - exactly 5 minutes. Raspberry jam is ready! We lay it out according to clean banks and close with lids.
