Homemade peach jam with sugar - how to make peach jam for the winter.
Usually, rarely anyone cooks peach jam and, for some reason, many people prefer to eat peaches only fresh, but in vain. It’s so nice on cold winter evenings to drink tea with aromatic, sunny-smelling peach jam, and even prepared with your own hands. So, let’s cook the jam, especially since this recipe is easy and doesn’t take a lot of time.
Ingredients for peach jam:
peaches – 10 kg;
sugar – 1-5 kg (the amount depends on the sugar content of the fruit and your taste);
water – 200 ml.
How to prepare jam correctly:
To make tasty jam, it is advisable to choose slightly overripe fruits. Wash the selected peaches, finally pouring boiling water over them, remove the skin, halve and remove the pit.
Place peaches in a cooking container, add water, and cook until desired thickness.
Add sugar and, remembering to stir, cook until tender.
Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars and close them with lids. Turn the jars over and let them sit for a day.
Homemade peach jam can be stored in the pantry for a year. It is used as a filling in flour baked goods or as an independent sweet product.
