How to make blackcurrant jam for the winter

The process of assembling blackcurrant berries is quite painstaking. The fact is that the berries are small, and the bushes are densely covered with foliage. When picking berries, a lot of debris, leaves and dry branches end up in the basket. Therefore, before starting the process of making jam, the berries should be carefully sorted, washed and dried with a kitchen towel.

Take a pan, fill it with berries and add granulated sugar. Add a little water and leave the berries for 2 hours - let them release their juice.

Clean washed jars sterilize in your usual way. Pour water into the pan and lower the lids for the jars.
