If you combine hawthorn fruits and ripe apples, you get an excellent and harmonious taste. The fruits successfully complement and shade each other. If this combination, aromatic and with a barely noticeable, unobtrusive sourness, is interesting to you, then using our homemade recipe, you can easily prepare assorted hawthorn jam with apples.

To make delicious jam you need the following products:

- for pouring one kilogram of hawthorn fruit - 400 grams of sugar.

- for one kilogram of ground hawthorn mass - granulated sugar - 950 g; water – 750 ml; apple puree – 200 gr.

How to cook.

To begin with, you need to select hawthorn fruits that have not yet fully ripened.

You need to remove the seeds from the selected fruits, then cover the pulp with sugar and let it stand for a day at a temperature of 20 degrees to form juice.

Next, you need to carefully strain the juice, and fill the remaining mass with water and cook until the fruits become soft.

Then, grind the softened fruits through a sieve and add the remaining jam components - granulated sugar and applesauce. Stir the mixture and let it cook to the desired thickness.

Ready-made jam - the jam must be poured while still hot into a previously prepared, clean, sterile container and rolled up with lids.

In winter, delicious hawthorn jam with apples can be served with pancakes, pancakes, just fresh bread, or you can make various fillings from it.
