How to make blueberry compote

To prepare the compote, choose large, freshly picked berries. The washed blueberries are carefully poured into a colander, allowing the water to drain. The berries are poured into prepared, cleanly washed jars. To better compact the blueberries, shake the jars lightly several times. The contents are poured with hot sugar syrup (to prepare 1.5 liters of syrup, add 820 grams of sugar to 1 liter of water). Liter jars are sterilized in boiling water for 15 minutes, half-liter jars for at least 10 minutes. The next step is to roll up the lids. The prepared compote is stored in a cool, dark place.
