How to make tomato sauce for the winter.
We start cooking by peeling the tomatoes and cutting them into four parts.
The apples need to be finely chopped, after removing the middle.
Cut the peeled onions into half rings.
We remove the seed box from the green salad pepper and chop it like other vegetables.
Place the recipe ingredients prepared in this way into a deep saucepan and then add the rest of the recipe ingredients: salt, sugar, mustard powder, vinegar, raisins and ginger.
Mix the contents of the saucepan and set to cook for two hours at a low boil, remembering to stir the mixture.
After cooking, cool our sauce and put it into jars for storage, which need to be covered with parchment and tied. Our sauce needs to be stored in a dark, cool place. But, if we want to preserve the tomato sauce longer, it is better to pack it in hot jars and screw it with metal lids.
In winter, uncork our homemade sauce made from tomatoes, peppers and apples, serve it with any suitable dishes (and not only meat) and enjoy the gifts of a generous hot summer and the results of our labor.
