How to preserve corn for the winter in a jar.
It turns out that this is quite easy to do. You just need to take young heads of cabbage and cut off the ends with a kitchen knife.
Place the corn in hot water and cook until relatively soft. But it is important not to overcook, because the cobs will undergo two more heat treatments: pouring brine and sterilization.
Remove the corn from the pan and place in three-liter jars. Each jar holds seven, eight or nine heads of cabbage, depending on their thickness.
Pour hot brine prepared from water (10 l), rock salt (300 g), granulated sugar (300 g) into the jars.
Place the filled container in a suitable tank, add water and place for sterilization, which is carried out for 50-60 minutes.
Remove the jars from the water and roll up the lids.
Young corn canned for the winter at home is used in this way: the jar is opened, the cobs along with the brine are poured into a pan and heated on the stove. Thus, delicious sweet corn, prepared according to this simple recipe, can be a favorite treat not only in the summer, but throughout the year.
