All we need is:
— sugar — 3 kg;
— chokeberry — 3 kg;
— applesauce — 3 kg.
How to make thick jam from apples and chokeberries.
Blanch clean rowan berries in boiling water for 2-4 minutes and grind through a meat grinder or sieve.
We will also wash the apples, peel them (both from the skin and from the seed pods) and also chop them. For these purposes, you can use a meat grinder or grater.
Combine both purees with sugar and place on the stove, let it boil, cook for 5-10 minutes and unpack into clean jars.
Place chokeberry and apple jam in ½ liter jars covered with lids for sterilization for 15-20 minutes. We twist it with a special machine.
It is good to store such rowan preparations in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area.
