I first tried unusual but very tasty cucumbers with turmeric in America when I was visiting my sister. There it is called “Bread and Butter” for some reason. When I tried it, I was stunned! This was something completely different from our classic pickled cucumber salads. I took an American recipe from my sister and when I arrived home I closed a lot of jars.
