Therefore, it is important to know how to store this cheese after purchase. After all, if you follow the necessary rules, the mozzarella will not spoil ahead of time.

Mozzarella is a creamy brine cheese that does not have a long shelf life. It is produced for daily consumption. But most housewives buy mozzarella with plans for later. There is nothing “criminal” about this; 2-3 days after purchase, under the right conditions, it will still be able to stand in suitable condition.

The optimal temperature for a thermometer when storing mozzarella is considered to be +7 °C. It must be stored in a container that is hermetically sealed. It is very important that the mozzarella is covered with brine at all times, otherwise it will become dry and spoiled.

That’s why manufacturers roll this cheese into “convenient” balls (it’s easier to cover them with brine and use them when preparing, for example, salads). It is customary to prepare mozzarella twice or thrice a week, so it is important to have the freshest product. You can ask sellers to pour brine into the package. But if for one reason or another this cannot be done, you can pour it with a strong solution of salt and water (1 tablespoon per glass). At home, you can transfer the mozzarella from the original package into a glass jar.
