How to pickle garlic like at the market - a homemade recipe for delicious pickled garlic cloves.
We offer all lovers of this plant to prepare an original, spicy homemade preparation - pickled garlic. This marinated snack tastes just like what you get at the market. It goes well with meat, fish and vegetable or mixed stew.
This simple recipe is designed for:
- water, 1000 ml.
- sugar, 50 gr.
- salt, 50 gr.
- vinegar, 100 ml. (9 %).
How to pickle garlic so that it tastes like what you get at the market.
Blanch the peeled cloves in boiling water, then quickly cool them in cold water.
Place the mixture in clean, sterilized jars.
Boil the marinade separately. Vinegar must be poured at the very end, in a slow stream, otherwise it may “run away”.
Now pour the marinade into jars, leaving a little more than a centimeter to the top. Cover the containers with lids, sterilize for 5-7 minutes, roll up and cool.
Homemade garlic will keep well for a long time if you find a cool and, if possible, dark place for it.
In winter, you can pour vegetable oil over the cloves, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve as a kind of “salad”.
