How to store cumin seeds
To begin with, you should understand that regardless of whether cumin is purchased or prepared independently, it must be of high quality and properly dried. The most affordable and widespread product is considered to be the seeds of ordinary cumin. They are usually bought at a pharmacy and stored in their original packaging in a dry and dark place at room temperature (black seeds are also stored). Seeds remain high quality for 2 years. Afterwards, you can use them, but they are no longer so healing. You can also store cumin seeds in an airtight glass container.
How to store dry umbrellas of regular cumin
In the modern world, few people can boast that they have collected and dried their own caraway inflorescence. But medicinal herbs always remain at the peak of popularity and many try to somehow stock up on this useful remedy. After purchasing or independently drying medicinal raw materials, it should be stored correctly (storage is no different from storing, for example, chamomile, thyme, etc.). To store caraway seeds in this form, you need to choose cardboard boxes or linen (made from natural material) bags and send them to a dry place. The main thing is that the packaging cannot be exposed to steam (for example, in the kitchen), otherwise the inflorescence will become damp. If you store cumin umbrellas in a glass jar, then it cannot be tightly closed, but must be covered with a “lid” made of natural fabric or parchment. Maximum dry cumin can be stored for one and a half years.
How to store black cumin oil
How useful black cumin oil will remain depends on the “correct” storage. The storage conditions for this product are not much different from the storage conditions for other essential oils. The best container is considered to be a special dark plastic or tin bottle, or a jar with a tight-fitting lid. The optimal temperature is from +8 to +25 °C. The product packaging should not be exposed to sunlight. The best place for storage is the refrigerator or other cool place. Cumin oil is suitable for use for two years.
The most important thing when storing healthy products is not to neglect the important advice of experts.
