How to properly freeze meatballs
The modern housewife has so many things to do that she simply doesn’t have time to devote more than 30 minutes to preparing dinner every day. But you want to pamper your family with fresh food, so what should you do in this case? Freezing homemade semi-finished meat products comes to the rescue.
Many types of preparations can be frozen, but one of the most successful and variable for further use is meatballs.
So how do you freeze meatballs?
First you need to prepare the minced meat, boil the rice until half cooked and mix these ingredients. You can add a little chopped onion, but after freezing it can give a sweetish taste, it’s better not to risk it. Next, add herbs, salt and spices to taste.
From this mass we form neat round meatballs and place them on a flat wide plate so that they do not touch each other. You can cover the surface of the plate with cling film or sprinkle it with flour to prevent the meatballs from sticking to it.
Place the plate in the freezer for 3-4 hours, during which time the meatballs will freeze and can be put into a bag or other storage container without fear of them sticking together.
Application
Preparing frozen meatballs gives the housewife many options for preparing dishes from them.These can be meatballs in a frying pan, stewed in tomato sauce, meatballs in a slow cooker, baked in sour cream or with vegetables, they can even be used as a filling for peppers and cabbage rolls.
Thus, having once spent half a day preparing frozen meatballs, you can free up a lot of time in the evening, after work, and not leave your family without a fresh dinner.
