How to make banana jam with lemon at home: an original recipe for making banana jam for the winter
Banana jam can be prepared not only for the winter. This is a wonderful dessert that is prepared very quickly, simply and impossible to spoil. Banana jam can only be made from bananas. And you can make jam from bananas and kiwi, from bananas and apples, from bananas and oranges and much, much more. You just need to take into account the cooking time and softening of other products.
Bananas and lemons go great together. These two flavors complement each other, and the slight lemon sourness makes the banana less cloying.
For 1 kg of bananas:
- 0.5 kg sugar;
- 2 lemons;
- 1 glass of water.
Peel the bananas and cut them into wheels.
Make a syrup from sugar and water and add the chopped banana to the syrup.
Boil bananas until soft. This will take you about 10 minutes. After this, cool the bananas a little and puree them with a blender or potato masher.
Squeeze the juice from the lemons and add it to the mashed bananas. Place the pan on the fire and simmer the jam until tender.
Banana jam can be stored for up to 6 months in the refrigerator or in the pantry.
