How to make celery juice and store it for the winter
It would be a lie to say that celery juice tastes divine. Celery is good in first and second courses, in salads, but as a juice it is difficult to drink. However, it is very useful and treats hundreds of diseases, and it is also good for prevention during the winter.
Celery juice should be drunk fresh, no later than 4 hours from the moment of preparation. It cannot be pasteurized, much less boiled. Nevertheless, celery juice can be prepared and stored for the winter.
Celery juice recipe
Juice can be prepared from all parts of the plant. The root, succulent stems and openwork, carved leaves are equally good. This is why celery is good, because there is nothing superfluous in it and every bit of it is useful.
Wash the plants and divide it into parts for convenience. Leaves and stems separately, roots separately.
Place the washed leaves and stems on a towel to dry and work on the roots. It needs to be thoroughly scraped and cut into small cubes.
Next, place the leaves, stems and roots in a blender and grind until a more or less homogeneous mass is obtained.
Fold the cheesecloth into quarters and squeeze the green juice into a cup. For 1 glass of prepared juice, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Stir and the juice is ready. You can drink it now or prepare it for the winter.
How to Preserve Celery Juice for the Winter
Considering that the maximum daily dose of celery juice for an adult is 120 grams, you can freeze the juice in ice cube trays in portions.
In the winter, when you need celery juice, simply shake out one cube of juice and toss it into a glass of apple juice. The apple will mask the unpleasant taste and smell of celery, and taking care of your health will not be so painful.
