How to prepare delicious grape juice for the winter, and what are its benefits
Natural grape juice contains such an amount of useful substances and elements that can be compared with real medicines. Therefore, you can’t drink a lot of juice, but you can make grape juice from the juice.
Fruit juice from grapes, unlike compote, will retain the same composition of vitamins, which will increase hemoglobin, immunity and rejuvenate the body in harsh winter times. When grapes are cooked, aggressive acids disappear from them, which are contraindicated for children and people with ulcers.
To prepare fruit juice from grapes, it is better to take autumn, late-ripening grape varieties. The color of the berries can be white, pink, or black, each grape variety is good in its own way, but from dark grapes, the fruit drink turns out more beautiful and bright.
Wash the grapes under running water and pick the berries from the branches. Remove dry and rotten berries. Extract the juice from the grapes using a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer, grind the berries through a meat grinder and strain through a sieve.
To prepare grape juice, pure juice diluted with water based on the following proportions:
- 1 liter of grape juice;
- 2 liters of cold boiled water;
- 200 grams of sugar.
Mix the juice with water and taste it; you may not need sugar if the juice is sweet enough. If the fruit drink needs to be sweetened, do not add more than the specified amount of sugar.The drink should be refreshing, not thirsty.
Place the pan with fruit juice on the stove and heat until it boils. Almost to the point of boiling. As soon as foam begins to form on the surface and small bubbles appear, reduce the heat and heat the fruit drink for about 10 minutes.
Prepare the jars. Sterilize them and warm them up. Pour the hot grape juice into jars and immediately seal them with lids. Turn the jars over and place them under a warm blanket.
Grape juice does not like sudden changes in temperature. Try to provide him with a comfortable temperature, not exceeding +15 degrees. Then the harvest will not only last throughout the winter, but will also last until the next harvest.
