How to sterilize jars in the microwave
Microwave sterilization is one of the latest, or rather modern, methods of sterilizing jars. The sterilization process in the microwave occurs very quickly. If the jars are not large, then several can be sterilized at the same time. With this method, the temperature in the kitchen does not increase, which, given the summer heat, is important.
How long and how to properly sterilize jars in the microwave?
Microwave sterilization is quite simple. Pour 1-2 cm of water into a jar of any size and put it in the microwave. Turn on for 2-3 minutes at a power of 700-800 watts. During this time, the water in the jars boils and steam sterilization occurs.
If the jars do not fit in height, they can be placed on their sides. When sterilizing large (3-liter) jars, the sterilization time should be increased to 5 minutes.
