How to cook jam compote in 5 minutes: a quick recipe for winter compote at home
Often, due to saving jars and space in the pantry, housewives refuse to cook compote for the winter. But this does not mean that they will drink tap water all winter. A wonderful compote can be made from jam or preserves.
It's very fast, and you can regulate the saturation of the compote yourself. Place one or two teaspoons of your favorite jam in a cup and fill with hot water. You will immediately receive a cup of delicious compote.
You can enhance the taste by adding a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla to a hot drink.
You can also use jam as a topping. After all, jam is essentially the same fruit topping. The only difference is that the topping is closer to syrup in consistency. But, no problem. Dilute the jam with cold boiled water, and you can pour it over ice cream, or prepare colorful cocktails.
Jam makes a wonderful jelly, thick and aromatic.
But don’t make jam compote for future use. Jam thrives in the refrigerator, and you can always make yourself a cup of compote in 2 minutes.
So, don’t be upset if you haven’t made compote for the winter. If you have jam, you definitely won't go to waste. The only requirement is that the jam must not be spoiled, without mold or fermented smell. You don’t have to throw away fermented jam, but this is a completely different recipe.
