How to freeze cilantro for the winter in the freezer
Fragrant, spicy herbs add a summer flavor to dishes, especially needed in winter. Dried spices are also good, but they lose their color, but the dish should not only be tasty, but also beautiful.
Cilantro, silantro, coriander, these are all different names for the same spice and we will try to prepare it in several ways.

Freezing fresh cilantro
Rinse a bunch of greens, shake off the water, and select yellow, limp and dry branches. Place the cilantro on a towel to dry and prepare the bags for now.
Place the cilantro sprigs into bags whole, or cut them for ease of later use. Close the bags and place the greens somewhere on top so that they are not crushed by the heavier bags of ingredients.
Freezing cilantro with vegetable oil
Grind the cilantro in a blender and add vegetable oil, olive or sunflower, at a ratio of 1:1 (for 1 cup of greens, 1 cup of oil).
Place the puree in ice cube trays and freeze.
Freezing cilantro with sandwich butter
Soften the butter a little, chop the cilantro, but not too finely.
Mix both ingredients and carefully place on food foil.
Use a knife to form a briquette, wrap it in foil, and freeze.
Cilantro does not require special defrosting. When preparing a dish, it is quite possible to throw frozen twigs and cubes into your dish. The only downside is that greens cannot be re-frozen, so take out only as much as you need right now.
