Winter pumpkin salad is “two in one”, it is both beautiful and rich in vitamins. What else could be more desirable in winter? Therefore, having this interesting recipe for delicious homemade pumpkin preparation, I can’t help but share it with you, dear housewives.

According to the recipe, you need to stock up on:

– pumpkin – 2 kg.

– vinegar 5% – 1.5 liters

- sugar to taste.

Spices:

— cloves – 8 -10 pcs.;

- a stick of unground cinnamon;

- peel of one lemon.

Making pumpkin salad for the winter is easy.

First, peel the ripe pumpkin from the rough skin and cut into slices of equal size.

Place the prepared slices in a deep bowl and cover with vinegar overnight. Keeping it in a vinegar solution gives the vegetable the strength it needs for salad.

In the morning, drain the vinegar solution in the pumpkin.

Now you need to boil it, after adding spices (lemon peel, cinnamon and cloves), as well as sugar. Each housewife determines the amount of sugar herself, depending on for which sweet tooth the preparation is being prepared.

Drop the pumpkin cut into slices into the solution bubbling in a spacious container in portions.

Boil over low heat and use a slotted spoon to remove pumpkin slices boiled until translucent.

Next, put them in jars and fill them with the same solution in which they were boiled, not forgetting to strain it first.

All that remains is to cool the jars with the preparation, then cover with parchment, tie tightly with twine and store in a cool, dry place.

This homemade product keeps well.
