Five-minute strawberry jam with whole berries
I offer housewives a fairly simple method by which I prepare delicious strawberry jam with whole berries. As you can guess from the name of the recipe, the five-minute jam is cooked for only five minutes before packaging in jars.
Thus, the strawberry berries do not have time to boil, and the bulk of the vitamins are retained in the preparation.
Ingredients:
• ripe strawberries – 2 kg;
• sugar – 1 kg 400 gr.
How to make strawberry jam in five minutes
Before cooking, prepare the strawberries: sort the berries, rinse them under running water and remove the leaves.
Then place the strawberries in a deep bowl, sprinkle with sugar and mix.
Try to mix the berries carefully so that, if possible, they remain whole.
Leave the jam in this form at room temperature for two hours. When the strawberries release the juice necessary for further cooking the jam, put the bowl on the fire.
Bring the sugar juice with the berries to a vigorous boil and skim off the foam with a slotted spoon. We will cook the jam over medium heat for exactly five minutes, stirring it occasionally so that the berries are heated evenly.
You should have sterile jars and lids ready by then. Quickly cooked strawberry jam should be poured hot into prepared containers and sealed with lids. After the jars have cooled, put them in the pantry for storage.
Five-minute jam from strawberries is medium thick, has the aroma of fresh berries, the taste of strawberries and nutrients are preserved as much as possible. We serve strawberry jam for tea or prepare jelly, jelly and various fillings based on it.
