For everyone who wants to cook a delicious orange compote, I am posting a repeatedly proven and simple recipe with step-by-step photos taken.

To prepare such a preparation at home, we will need to prepare:

• 0.5-0.7 kg of granulated sugar;

• 2 liters of clean water;

• 4 oranges.

First you need to prepare the fruits themselves. When purchasing, choose ripe ones, wash them thoroughly, and then peel off the skin.

Then, remove the zest from the peel, as it will give the compote a bitter taste. The remaining white part can be grated or simply chopped with a knife. I just used a knife, as can be seen in the photo.

Next, cut all the peeled oranges into 4 parts, carefully removing the pieces from all seeds, thin films and fibers.

To get a delicious orange compote, then you need to chop all the quarters of the fruit in random order.

Thoroughly sterilize jars. Place slices of chopped and peeled citrus fruits into the prepared dishes.

Now, cook the syrup.Immediately add granulated sugar and previously prepared, crushed pieces of skin without zest to the water. Cook the sugar syrup for no more than 10-15 minutes. Pour the prepared sweetness over the orange slices. Without rolling, let the jars sit for 1-1.5 hours.

Pour the sugar syrup from the jars into the pan using a special lid with holes or through a colander. Bring the liquid to a boil and pour it into the jars again. Now all that remains is to roll up the delicious orange compote.
