How to make compote from tangerines in slices.

Peel ripe, unspoiled tangerines from skins and dense white fibers, break into slices.

Dip them in a 1% soda solution for 30 seconds at a solution temperature of 85-90 degrees.

Then, rinse very thoroughly to remove all the soda and soak in clean water for at least 1 hour.

Next is preparing the syrup. You need to boil water and add granulated sugar. The required proportion for compote: for 1 liter of water – ½ kg of sugar.

Place tangerine slices into jars.

Fill the jars up to the neck with steep syrup.

Next, you need to put the compote for heat treatment (sterilization). ½ l/1 l/3 l – 25 min/35 min/45 min respectively.

As soon as they are sterilized, you need to immediately seal them with metal lids, wrap them upside down and wrap them up.
