Last year, while thinking about what to make from grapes for the winter, I decided to make compote. I made this recipe and the homemade compote turned out very tasty. If you are wondering which preparation to give preference to, I suggest making grape compote according to this recipe.

A minimum amount of ingredients is required here: water, sugar, grapes. Even a schoolchild can calculate the proportions. To prepare the syrup you will need 550 grams of sugar per liter of water.

Now, how to cook grape compote for the winter.

First of all, you need to prepare the grapes, preferably one variety. The berries must be whole, without visible external damage. To do this, it is necessary to wash the collected or purchased bunches. And the grapes are carefully separated from them, bypassing unripe and spoiled berries.

Next, select grapes should be washed again and allowed to drain as much water as possible. These berries are carefully placed in jars prepared in advance. Then they are filled with freshly boiled syrup and sterilized: placed in a pan of boiling water (55-60°C) for 10 minutes for liter jars and 8 minutes for half-liter jars.

Next, the jars are covered with a lid and rolled up. While cooling, they should be turned upside down. You can cover it with a blanket on top.
