Canned pears in lingonberry juice syrup made according to this recipe are a very tasty preparation for the winter. Many of my friends who have prepared it will definitely cook it in the next harvesting season. I will be happy to describe all the stages of preparing this wonderful homemade pear preparation.

Preparation begins with the fact that first you need to select pear fruits - ripe, juicy and strong. You also need ripe lingonberries.

Amount of products required according to the recipe:

– Pears – 2kg

— Lingonberries 1.6 kg

- Sugar:

– 160 grams (for lingonberries),

– 1.2 kg - for ready-made lingonberry juice.

How to preserve pears for the winter using this recipe.

Ripe pears

The pears selected for our recipe need to be washed and cut into four parts, freeing the stalks and sepals from the seed nest.

Lingonberry berries need to be sorted out, rinsed in a colander under running water and transferred to a saucepan.

Add sugar (160 grams) to the lingonberries and boil over high heat until the lingonberries soften.

Pass the resulting mass through a stretched cloth.

Bring the ground lingonberry juice to a boil, stirring, add the remaining sugar - 1.2 kg and ensure its complete dissolution.

At this stage of cooking, you can already add pears to the juice and simmer them in lingonberry juice until soft.

Then, using a slotted spoon, remove the pears and place them in prepared jars.

Now, the pears in the jars need to be filled with syrup based on lingonberry juice, covered with lids and sterilized. Half-liter jars - 25 minutes, liter jars - 30 minutes, and three-liter containers - 45 minutes.

Immediately seal the sterilized jars.

IMPORTANT: lingonberry juice can be replaced with the juice of any other sour berry.
