Canning apples with sugar in their own juice in slices is a recipe that every housewife should know. The preparation is done very quickly. Minimum ingredients: sugar and apples. Another plus of the recipe is that sour fruits are also suitable. The principle is simple: the more sour the fruit, the more sugar you will need.
For the most acidic ones, even one to two can be taken. It is done quickly and uncomplicated.
In the homemade preparation described, we calculate sugar based on the volume of the jar. 1 liter – 400 g, 0.5 liter – 200 g.
Now you need the simplest, but most labor-intensive: wash, peel, and cut the apples into slices, about 2 centimeters each.
We put sugar into the jars, add slices to the top.
Having filled the jars completely with apples and sugar, we send them for sterilization. Let these jars sterilize for 15-25 minutes (this depends on their capacity).
