Canned cucumber salad with onions and peppers - a recipe with a photo of a delicious cucumber salad with turmeric for the winter.
Using this recipe with turmeric, you will be able to prepare not only a delicious canned cucumber salad, but it will also turn out very beautiful, bright and colorful. My kids call these colorful cucumbers. There is no need to even sign jars with blanks; from afar you can see what is in them.
To prepare the salad you will need:
fresh young cucumbers - 4 kg;
onions - 7 medium-sized pieces;
red pepper, preferably rotunda - 3 pcs. (the larger the fruits, the better);
garlic - 4 large cloves;
sugar - 1 kg;
salt - 100 g;
turmeric - 1 tbsp. spoon;
vinegar - 500 ml.
For those who like it spicy, you can add red hot pepper.
How to prepare cucumber salad for the winter.
Cut the washed cucumbers without tails into four pieces lengthwise.
Grind the sweet, always red, pepper into strips.
Cut the onion into half rings and the garlic into slices.
Mix everything.
Add salt, sugar, turmeric, and vinegar. Mix with a wooden spatula. Let it sit for 12 hours.
ATTENTION: do not overexpose, because the cucumbers will become limp and it won’t turn out very nice.
We put it in jars so that all the juice that has been released goes in.
Sterilize in a large saucepan on a wooden wire rack for 20 minutes.
Roll up and cool the pieces.
A beautiful and tasty salad of cucumbers with turmeric prepared for the winter does not have to be stored in the cellar. It overwinters well in a cool closet. From the products indicated in the recipe, I got 10 jars of canned salad, 0.5 liters each.
