How to cook apricot compote for the winter
First you need to prepare the ingredients required for the compote. The jar must be sterilized. Don't forget about the lid.
We wash the apricot fruits and cut them into two parts. We get rid of apricot kernels; we have no use for them in compote.
Place the apricot halves into a sterilized jar.
Pour boiling water over the fruit in the jar and cover with a sterilized lid.
For now, we leave the fruits in the jar “alone” for about half an hour.
Now, carefully pour the water from the jar into a suitable container (pan).
We put it on fire. Add citric acid. Let's boil. Add sweet sand to the apricots. We also add mint leaves (don't forget to rinse them).
Pour the prepared boiling water over the apricots and mint leaves.
We tighten the jar with a special key. Turn the compote over onto the lid. We insulate using a blanket, towel, or shawl. This will serve as a replacement for sterilization.
It is recommended to store this concentrated, delicious compote of apricots and mint in a cool place.
