The best spicy plum seasoning for the winter
Categories: Sauces

Plum is a fruit that, in addition to sweet preparations, also produces a delicious savory seasoning. It is also often called Georgian seasoning - this is due to the fact that among the peoples of the Caucasus, from all the fruits, as a result of culinary magic and the combination of seemingly incompatible products, they always get a delicious spicy seasoning for meat. It should be noted that this homemade recipe is perfect for pasta, pizza, and even regular cereals. Winter is long, everything gets boring, and it allows you to add flavor variety to ordinary and seemingly boring dishes.

How to prepare plum seasoning for the winter.

Plums

Take the ripest blue plums and remove the pits from them.

The pulp should be about 800 g. Place the halves in the container reserved for cooking and add 200 ml of water.

Cook the fruits until they are very soft, after which you need to grind them through a stainless steel kitchen sieve.

Place the plum puree back into the copper basin and sprinkle with sugar (200 g).

Cook, stirring constantly until the granulated sugar dissolves.

Now it's time for the spices. It is necessary to grind the cloves - 0.2 g, take cinnamon powder - 0.2 g and ginger powder - 0.1 g. Cook the seasoning with the added spices for another 5-10 minutes.

The preparation of the seasoning is now complete. Now let’s just put it in jars and send it for sterilization for 20 minutes, if the jars are 0.5 liters each.

Homemade spicy plum seasoning, prepared according to the simple recipe offered to you, must be stored in a cool place. We recommend that you pay attention to the lighting - when stored in bright light, the workpiece can change its plum-appetizing color to an unsightly dull one. Feedback in the comments, as always, is important to us.
