Mackerel brine includes:
— water — 1 liter;
- salt - 5 tablespoons;
— sugar — 3 tablespoons;
- laurel leaf - 6 pieces;
- dry mustard - 1 teaspoon;
— allspice black pepper (peas) — 1 piece;
- cloves - 1 piece.
How to make lightly salted mackerel at home.
We thoroughly clean the fish, remove the entrails and black film, and rinse.
The next important step is to prepare the whole mackerel brine.
It's very easy to do. Pour water into a saucepan, when it boils, throw in all the spices, after a few minutes turn it off and cool with a lid.
Pour the spicy brine into a container with whole cleaned fish and let it salt for 3-5 days in a cool place.
If you do not eat lightly salted fish right away, then save it after the required time for salting in the refrigerator.
