How to store corn on the cob for the winter at home.
We begin marinating by peeling any cobs from the outer coarse leaves and inner fine hairs. Place the cobs cleaned in this way in jars of a suitable size so that there are no voids left in them. Usually 5 or 6 cobs fit. It is better to lay them with the tops up.
In each jar, put one tablespoon of sugar, one tablespoon of salt, pour in three tablespoons of vinegar.
Next, fill the jars with water to the very top. Take regular cold water, passed through a filter or spring water.
Sterilize filled jars with preparations for 40 minutes by boiling them in water.
Corn on the cob marinated for the winter in Bulgarian style is used as an independent dish or as an addition to salads. Can be used as decoration for dishes. In the last two cases, the grains from the cobs must be carefully cut with a knife.
