Pickled beets (buryak) are made from juicy red beets. This very tasty and spicy homemade preparation for the winter can be made without much difficulty. Marinated with cumin, the beets are crispy and spicy in taste. Vitamins for the winter are preserved just fine in this preparation.

Proportions of products for homemade beets:

- beetroot (preferably red vinaigrette) - 10 kg;

- water - 8 liters;

- caraway seeds -0.5 tsp;

- rye flour - 10 grams.

How to pickle beets for the winter at home.

Red beets need to be washed and peeled, and then cut into medium-sized pieces.

Next, place the chopped pieces in a clean container for marinating, while sprinkling them with cumin seeds.

Rye flour must be mixed with warm water, then pour the solution into a container with beets.

Then, cover the beets with a linen napkin and place a circle on top, which we press down with a weight.

The container with our beet preparation should stand at room temperature for fourteen days.

Then, the pickled beets should be put in a cold place for storage.

Red beets prepared according to this homemade recipe are perfectly preserved all winter. Delicious winter salads are prepared from it in winter, seasoned with a little sunflower oil.
