If you are a lover of this vegetable, but have not yet decided what you can cook from pumpkin for the winter, so as not to say goodbye to it when it is not in season, then I dare to advise you to make this original recipe. Marinated preparation will diversify your menu in winter. And the original pumpkin can easily replace canned pineapple.

For this simple homemade recipe we will need: pumpkin – 1 pc.

For filling: water – 1 liter, lemon – 1 teaspoon, sugar – 1/2 cup, salt – ½ tablespoon, lemongrass – 5 leaves; radiola pink – 5 grams.

How to pickle pumpkin for the winter is simple.

Any simple recipe begins with peeling the pumpkin and removing the seeds.

Cut into long, thin pieces and boil in boiling water for a couple of minutes.

Place the blanched pumpkin in a glass bowl.

Prepare the filling: boil water, sweeten, salt, add lemon, lemongrass leaves and pink radiola.

Pour the prepared hot brine over the pumpkin. Immediately, seal the dish with a lid, turn it upside down and wrap it until it cools.

It is better to store dishes with canned pumpkin, like most preparations, in a separate, not too warm room.
