What you will need for preparation:
small thin cucumbers;
garlic;
hot peppers;
horseradish root;
dill umbrellas;

mustard seeds;

How to pickle gherkins for the winter
Wash freshly picked small cucumbers and sort them by size to make it easier to put in jars.
Wash jars with laundry soap or soda. For this recipe, it is not necessary to sterilize them first. Lids - boil for 5 minutes in a saucepan with water.
We clean and wash the horseradish root, hot pepper and garlic. Cut into slices.
Place on the bottom of a 700 gram jar: 1 dill umbrella, 3-4 hot pepper rings, 4-5 chopped garlic cloves, 7-10 horseradish root rings, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp. mustard seeds, 5 black peppercorns. Place cucumbers on top.
Sprinkle 1.5 tsp on cucumbers. coarse salt and 2.5 tsp. sugar, pour 1 glass (30 ml) of 9% vinegar into a jar.
Place a kitchen towel on the bottom of a large saucepan, place the jars, and cover them with sterilized lids. Carefully pour water into the pan itself to the level of the cans - “up to the hangers”. Sterilize jars with cucumbers and spices for 20 minutes. (1 l - 25 minutes; 1.5 l - 30 minutes, etc.).
In another saucepan, put clean water to boil. We take out the jars of cucumbers one by one.
Add clean boiling water, roll up, turn over and wrap until cool.
We store these small crispy cucumbers (gherkins) in a cool place, and in the winter, remembering the summer, we enjoy their bright spicy taste.
