To prepare 3 kg of young cucumbers you will need for each jar:
- 1-2 dill umbrellas;
- 2-3 blackcurrant leaves;
- 3-4 cherry leaves;
- 1 horseradish leaf;
- 3- black peppercorns;
- 2 peas of allspice;
- 1-2 cloves of garlic;
- 1-2 bay leaves;
- 3-5 cloves.
For 1 liter of marinade you will need:
- sugar 1 tbsp;
- salt 3 tbsp;
- vinegar 9% 3 tbsp.
How to prepare pickled cucumbers with cloves for the winter
We begin to prepare the preparation traditionally: wash the cucumbers under running water. It is advisable that they were picked at least 24 hours ago.
Leave the cucumbers in the water to gain moisture for an hour.
During this time, prepare the jars and herbs. Wash the jars and sterilize in any convenient way. At home, you can simply hold them over steam for 5 minutes.
Wash the greens.
Separate currant and cherry leaves from the branches.
Cut horseradish leaves into strips.
Peel the garlic and count out the required amount of spices.
Place herbs and spices in jars.
Cut off the ends of the cucumbers.
Place cucumbers tightly in jars. You should start with larger cucumbers and end with small ones.
Pour boiling water over jars of cucumbers three times.
The first time - just boiling water. Cover with lids and leave for 10 minutes.
Drain the water from the jars into a saucepan and add sugar and salt. Pour the boiling liquid into the jars a second time and cover with lids.
After 20 minutes, pour the brine into the pan. Bring to a boil, pour in vinegar.
Quickly fill the jars and roll up the lids. Leave to cool for 2-3 days upside down under warm blankets.
