We pickle cucumbers in a sweet and sour marinade without sterilization - an original recipe for pickled cucumbers in liter jars.
Many people get into trouble because they don’t know how to pickle cucumbers in liter jars. Therefore, I am posting an original recipe according to which you can easily and simply make sweet and sour pickled cucumbers. Cucumbers prepared in this way have a unique, pleasant taste and are a savory, spicy snack in their own right.
How to pickle cucumbers in liter jars without sterilization.
To prepare five liter jars of pickled sweet and sour cucumbers, you need to thoroughly wash 3 kg of small cucumbers, peel 200 g of small onions and 100 g of horseradish root.
Cut the horseradish root into small slices.
Prepare 5 g mustard seeds, 15 black peppercorns, 10-15 bay leaves, herbs and dill stems.
Place the prepared cucumbers in a liter jar in layers and top with small onions, slices of horseradish, mustard and pepper seeds, bay leaves, as well as stems and dill.
Now, you need to make a sweet and sour marinade for cucumbers. To do this, you will have to dissolve 60 g of salt and 150 g of sugar in 2 liters of water. Put the prepared solution on the fire, and after boiling, add half a liter of 9% vinegar.
Add the prepared hot marinade to the jars containing the cucumbers and cover with a lid.
We start the next day by draining the marinade, boiling it again and once again filling the liter jars with cucumbers.
After this, roll up the lids, leave to cool and send the finished cucumbers to the cold for storage.
These sweet and sour pickled cucumbers can be taken out of the jar throughout the winter. The recipe uses the double-pouring method and the cucumber preparations are so tasty that they can barely last until the New Year.
