How to make melon marmalade at home.
Select ripe yellow melons and chop them into randomly shaped slices.
First remove the skin from the slices, and then chop the pulp quite finely.
Place the chopped one kilogram of melon in a saucepan and add water so that it is flush with the melon pieces.
Boil the melon until soft, drain the water and set aside.
Rub the cooled mixture through a kitchen sieve - you should get a homogeneous puree.
Measure 1 kg of sugar into the reserved water and make syrup from it.
Mix the puree with syrup and boil by half.
At the end, if desired, we can add a little spice: vanillin or a couple of drops of mint or rum essence. If you are a cinnamon lover, you can replace the spices suggested above with cinnamon.
