Sea buckthorn pureed with hawthorn is prepared without boiling. The home-made preparation preserves the vitamins found in two fresh berries unchanged. After all, it is known that in addition to vitamins, sea buckthorn is famous for treating inflammation of the oral cavity, burns, wounds, herpes, while hawthorn tones the heart muscle and relieves fatigue.
How to prepare pureed sea buckthorn with sugar and hawthorn.
We sort out the sea buckthorn, wash it, distribute it thinly on a sieve and let it dry. Then, grind through a sieve.
The hawthorn continues cooking. Blanch its fruits for 1-2 minutes. Then we grind it in a meat grinder, but you can also grind it through a stainless steel sieve so that more vitamins remain in the puree.
Mix sea buckthorn and hawthorn, add sugar and heat to 70°C.
Then, pour into sterile jars, set to pasteurize: 0.5 l - 20 minutes, 1 l - 25-30 minutes, roll up.
For this useful sea buckthorn preparation you will need: 1 kg of pureed sea buckthorn, 600 g of pureed hawthorn and 500 g of sugar.
