To make delicious plum jam, prepare the fruits that have reached the highest degree of ripeness. Remove rotten and damaged parts. The amount of sugar added when cooking the product depends entirely on your taste preferences, sugar content and type of plum.
The ratio given in the recipe is suitable for plums of medium sweetness:
— plum — 3 kg;
- water - 2.5-3 glasses;
- granulated sugar - 2 cups.
Preparing jam.
Rinse the plums, remove the seeds and boil in water for no more than 5 minutes.
Cool and rub through a sieve.
Place the mixture in a cooking container, bring to a boil, add sugar after 10 minutes.
After this, cook the jam over low heat for another 15-20 minutes.
Now pour the plum jam into clean, sterilized jars, twist and cool.
