This winter salad is very simple and easy to prepare, and most importantly, any housewife can make it. Despite the small number of ingredients, the salad has excellent taste. Please note that cucumbers are cut not into circles, but into oblong slices, and some people call the salad not “Tender”, but “Lady fingers”.

But the name is not the main thing. The main thing is that the winter salad turns out delicious, just finger-licking. The pieces remain hard, crispy, like fresh, and, despite the fact that sterilization is used during preparation, they do not lose their shape.

Ingredients:

4 kilograms of cucumbers.

2 tbsp. salt;

1 glass of sunflower oil;

1 cup of sugar;

1 tbsp. vinegar;

5 cloves of garlic;

2 tbsp. ground black pepper;

2 tbsp dry mustard powder.

How to prepare cucumber salad for the winter

We start making the preparation by washing the cucumbers well, trimming them from the top and bottom, and cutting them into cubes, as shown in the photo.

Next, you need to make brine for pouring cucumbers.

Without boiling, mix all the above ingredients: vinegar, salt, sugar, vinegar, pepper, mustard powder, chopped garlic.

Pour the prepared brine over the cucumbers and let it brew in a bowl for about 4 hours.

Place cucumbers tightly in well-washed, sterilized liter jars and add the resulting liquid.

Cover the jars with lids for preservation, place them in a container with water so that they are immersed in water as in the photo.

I put a weight on top to secure the lids. For me, you can also see in the photo, this is a cup of water. Just be careful not to allow water to get inside and ruin the contents of the jars. This design should be left to sterilize for approximately 20 minutes.

The final step in preparing winter cucumber salad is to roll up the lids.

After that, you should place the jars upside down and let them brew in a warm place.

The cucumber salad, although it turns out tender, will taste piquant, slightly sweet, and the cucumber slices will remain as if they were fresh and crunchy. This preparation is suitable for any holiday table, and it sells out quickly due to its delicate taste.
