This recipe is more suitable for treating picky children who completely refuse to take medicine infused with fresh onions.

A large onion is cut into cubes or half rings. The product is placed in a small saucepan and covered with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Pour 100 milliliters of water over the mass and place the container on the fire. Cook the drug over medium heat for 4 minutes. Until the liquid cools completely, keep the onion in a saucepan with a lid. Afterwards, the mass is passed through a sieve.

To prepare the medicine you will need:

  • 500 grams of onion,
  • 700 grams of sugar;
  • 40 – 50 grams of honey;
  • 1 liter of water.

Combine the chopped onion, sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cover the bowl with a lid and put on fire. Simmer the mixture over low heat for 2 hours. The boiled onions are removed using a sieve, and honey is added to the syrup that has cooled to 50 degrees. Mix everything well and pour into jars.
