Sweet caviar from carrots and apples for the winter
If carrots have yielded a large harvest, but there is nowhere to store it, then various preparations from this bright and healthy vegetable come to the rescue, which can be easily and simply made at home. Carrots can be canned, either alone or with other vegetables, but today I will tell you how to make carrot caviar with apples.
This sweet caviar made from carrots and apples stores excellently, and the taste is very similar to pie filling or homogenized baby puree. If you are interested in such a preparation, then my simple recipe with step-by-step photos is at your service.
To prepare caviar you will need:
- 1 kg carrots (fresh, large);
- 4-5 green apples;
- 250 grams of granulated sugar;
- 1/3 glass of water.
How to prepare caviar from carrots and apples for the winter
Wash the carrots, peel them, cut off the tops to the pulp. Wash the apples.
Cut the carrots into large rings and boil in water until fully cooked.
In a blender, bring the boiled carrots to a puree-like mass (use a single knife for chopping).
We clean the apples: remove the stem, core, and skin. Cut the apple into slices and add to the carrot caviar in a blender.
Turn on the blender again on mode “2” so that the mass becomes homogeneous.
Pour water into the pan, put the pan on the fire, start adding sugar. Bring the sugar until completely dissolved, but do not boil the syrup. Add the carrot-apple mixture from the blender.Bring to a boil.
Transfer to jar, put sterilize for 15 minutes.
After sterilization, we roll up the lid of the jar and place it in the underground for storage.
Tasty and sweet caviar made from carrots and apples is served in small rosettes.
