Sweet natural gooseberry marmalade. A simple recipe for making marmalade at home.
It is practically impossible to buy natural marmalade that does not contain many chemical additives. Having prepared a sweet delicacy, gooseberry marmalade, according to this recipe, you can safely give it even to children.
The pectin contained in the berries makes gooseberries an excellent “raw material” for marmalade. And the color, sweet and tasty, of natural gooseberry marmalade can change. After all, what homemade marmalade is made from is what the color will be. And gooseberries have almost the entire palette of colors: white, green, yellow, red, and even black.

To make homemade gooseberry marmalade you will need:
— gooseberry, 1 kg.
- sugar, 550 gr.
- enamel form.
How to make gooseberry marmalade at home.
Place the berries in a saucepan, add a small amount of water to the bottom, cover with a lid and boil until soft.
Then, we rub the mass through a sieve, put the resulting puree back on the fire and cook until it is reduced by half.
Then, little by little add sugar and cook over low heat.
Wet the mold with water and put the puree into it. When it has completely hardened, cut it into pieces, sprinkle them with sugar and serve.
