Mirabelle plum in its own juice without seeds and sugar or simply “cream in gravy” is a favorite recipe for preparing plums for the winter.
Mirabelle plum is one of our family’s favorite plum varieties for harvesting for the winter. Due to the natural pleasant aroma of the fruit, our homemade seedless plums do not require any aromatic or flavoring additives. Attention: we don’t even need sugar.

And so, wash the not too overripe mirabelle fruits and cut them into slices, while removing the seeds.
We carefully place the plum halves in jars to the very top.
After which, without adding anything extra, we set to sterilize: ½ liter blanks for 25 minutes, and liter blanks for 35 minutes.
When sterilized, juice will naturally release from the slices.
Then, roll up our homemade preparation while still hot.
Our “cream in gravy” keeps well in the winter. Mirabelle plum canned according to this recipe, among other things, is good as a fragrant filling for pies and pancakes. I’d be glad to know what is your favorite recipe for sugar-free plum preparation?
