Sterilizing jars in the oven
Sterilization in the oven is a fairly quick and not at all labor-intensive method. Anyone can use this method and it does not require special equipment, just an oven. How to properly and for how long to sterilize jars in the oven?
Place the selected and washed jars, wet, in the oven, turning it on to heat up to 180°C. Sterilization time is until the jars are completely dry. Metal lids can be sterilized along with jars.
You need to carefully remove the jars from the oven, grabbing them with a towel. Place the sterilized jars on a dry towel or other thick fabric.
However, you need to remember that if you are distracted enough, the jars will overheat and may burst. And another drawback when sterilizing jars in the oven is the strong heating of the room where the oven is located.
