How to make candied fruits at home.

To prepare, you need to boil the syrup by dissolving 1 or 1.2 cups of sugar in 2 glasses of water.

Next, prepare 1 kg of apricot by removing the seeds from the fruit.

After the syrup boils, add pitted apricots into it, let it boil and remove from heat.

Leave the apricots to soak in the syrup for about 10 - 12 hours, after which the mass is boiled again for about 7 minutes.

Then the apricots are again left in syrup for 10 - 12 hours for soaking.

Thus, they act at least 3 - 4 times.

After boiling the apricots in syrup for the last time, add 3 g of citric acid.

After this, strain the syrup through a colander, and place the remaining cooked fruits on a baking sheet or dish to dry.

Place the dried candied fruits in a dry jar for storage. You can sprinkle them with granulated sugar. To keep candied fruits long enough, they are left in syrup and rolled into jars.

Usually dried candied apricots are consumed as an independent delicacy, but they can also be used to decorate confectionery products.
