To prepare dried fruits, select apples of sour or sweet and sour varieties, preferably with white flesh. It is preferable to dry apples by peeling and removing the core. You can dry it with the skin, but you still have to remove the core from the apples.

And so, to prepare dried apples at home, wash the apples selected for drying, cut them into slices 6-8 mm thick and blanch in acidified water for 5 minutes. Prepare the solution at the rate of 1.5 grams of citric acid per 1 liter of water. This procedure will help preserve the light color of dried fruits.
