Preparing pickled beets according to this recipe is quite easy. By preparing these pickled beets with horseradish, you will provide yourself with a delicious snack. Thinly sliced ​​into slices or grated on a grater of a convenient size for you, sprinkled with aromatic sunflower oil, the piquant beets will become the main dish on the table. In addition, it can easily be used in preparing borscht, soups or salads.

How to pickle beets at home.

Sort the red beets, cut off the top and bottom parts, and peel. Remove damaged areas.

To boil water. Carefully add the whole root vegetables and simmer for 20 minutes. If your beet is large, divide it into halves and cook for 45 minutes.

Wash the horseradish roots well, peel them with a knife and wash them again in water. Grind all the horseradish on a grater of the largest size.

Place 30 grams of horseradish in ½ liter jars (this will be 1 heaped tablespoon); in 1 liter, respectively, 60 grams.

Place the boiled beets tightly.

Well, now, how to prepare a marinade for beets.

For 5 liters of water you need to take salt - 0.5-0.6 kg; sugar – 0.6-0.9 kg; vinegar essence - 1 glass.

Then everything is done very simply. You need to boil all the ingredients (add vinegar essence only at the very end) and pour the beets with horseradish.

Cover with the prepared lids and set to sterilize: ½ liter jars for 7-8 minutes; 1 liter - for 10-12.

We close it hermetically with a key.

And the last thing is to turn it upside down until it cools.

Such beet preparations do not require special temperature conditions during storage, therefore, they can be stored anywhere.
