Autumn has arrived, beets are ripening en masse - it’s time to make beet preparations for the winter. We offer a delicious and quick beet salad recipe. Beets prepared according to this recipe can be used in winter both as a salad and as a dressing for borscht.

To prepare beets for the winter according to this recipe we will need:
beets - 4 kg,
tomato - 1.5 kg,
bell pepper - 0.5 kg,
onions - 0.5 kg,
garlic - 200 g,
vegetable oil - 200 g,
vinegar 9% - 100 g,
salt - 50 g,
sugar - 150 gr.
And how to cook beets for the winter according to this recipe.
To prepare a delicious winter beet salad we need:
— wash the beets, peel them, grate them on a coarse grater;
— wash the tomatoes and pass them through a meat grinder or chop them with a blender;
- bell peppers and onions - peel, wash and cut into strips and half rings.
Pour sunflower oil into the container where you will cook the salad with beets, add the onion and fry it.
When the onion begins to change color, add ground tomatoes, chopped bell pepper, finely chopped garlic, salt, sugar, vinegar and mix everything well.
Cover with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and cook, covered, for 50-60 minutes.
Stir regularly.
After the specified time, put the beet salad prepared for the winter into prepared jars and close with lids.
Turn the lid down and leave it in this position until it cools.
